This Privacy Policy explains how Ryan Almasu, trading as remotejobfor.me, operating as remotejobfor.me, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services.
Privacy Policy
Explain collection, storage, and protection of personal information.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information collected through the remotejobfor.me website, accounts, authentication, job searches, saved jobs, application tracking, job alerts, contact and waitlist forms, cookies, purchases, employer services, and related features. It does not apply to external employer websites, hiring platforms, payment processors, social-login providers, Threads, or other third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply when you use those services.
2. Information We Collect
When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, name or profile information, authentication-provider identifiers, account status, verification information, and account-security records. We do not intentionally store passwords in plain text.
When you use job-search features, we may collect your country or region preference, search terms, filters, saved jobs, job-alert criteria, alert-confirmation activity, application-tracker status, application notes, job pages viewed, and application links selected.
If you contact us, join a waitlist, or use employer features, we may collect your account identifier, email address, optional name, company and listing information, message content, signup source, campaign information, confirmation status, communication preferences, and information needed to respond or provide the requested feature. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information through a form.
We may collect technical and security information such as your IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring URL, requested URL, timestamps, request identifiers, error information, security signals, rate-limiting information, and cookie identifiers. For purchases and subscriptions, our payment processor may provide order, customer, product, payment-status, billing, and delivery-email information. We generally do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide and maintain the Service, create and manage accounts, authenticate users, save jobs, manage preferences, deliver confirmed job alerts, maintain the application tracker, respond to support requests, communicate about accounts and service changes, prevent fraud and abuse, monitor performance, diagnose errors, improve job discovery, process payments, deliver purchased digital products, manage employer entitlements, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights and the security of the Service.
For paid employer promotion, we may use company information, public listing details, location and role facts, promotion settings, approval status, and scheduled-post information to prepare and publish editorial content through the remotejobfor.me Threads profile. Limited company and public listing context may be processed by AWS Bedrock for text generation. This workflow is not intended to use applicant notes, private account data, employer passwords, social-login credentials, or payment-card data.
4. Legal Bases and Cookies
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we may process information because it is necessary to provide a requested service, because you have provided consent, because we have a legitimate interest in security and service administration, because processing is required by law, or because another lawful basis applies. You may withdraw consent at any time, although withdrawal does not affect earlier processing.
We use necessary cookies for authentication, security, remembering your cookie-consent choice, and remembering your selected country or region. Where enabled, optional cookies may support analytics, campaign attribution, UTM tracking, landing-page attribution, and session measurement. Optional tracking is enabled only after you accept optional cookie consent.
The cookie-consent preference may last approximately 180 days. A country preference may last approximately twelve months. Campaign and landing information may last approximately thirty days for recent activity and up to twelve months for first-touch attribution. A session attribution identifier may last up to twelve months.
5. Sharing and International Processing
We may share personal information with service providers that help us provide hosting, databases, authentication, security, email delivery, customer support, monitoring, analytics, payments, digital delivery, AI text generation, and other operational services. We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, protect users, enforce our Terms, or protect our rights and property.
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share your account information with employers merely because you browse or save a job. Employer promotional posts are published through the remotejobfor.me account, not an employer's social-login account. When you apply through an external employer or hiring-platform website, the information you submit there is governed by that website's privacy policy.
6. Retention and Security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping. Account information is generally retained while active and for a reasonable period afterward. Saved jobs, preferences, alerts, and application-tracker records are generally retained until deleted, the account is closed, or the information is no longer needed.
Analytics and operational records generally use shorter retention periods depending on configuration. Security, audit, payment, entitlement, and purchase records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or provider reconciliation. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent, unsubscribe from communications, and complain to a data-protection authority where applicable. To submit a request, contact support@remotejobfor.me. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.
If California privacy law applies to you, you may also have rights to know or access personal information, request deletion, request correction, opt out of sale or sharing where applicable, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive equal service. We do not knowingly sell personal information. California requests may be sent to support@remotejobfor.me with the subject “California Privacy Request.”
8. Children, Third Parties, and Changes
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and account-based features are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support@remotejobfor.me. remotejobfor.me may link to third-party websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices, security, content, or handling of information.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new Last Updated date. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
