User Data Deletion Instructions
Clear steps for deleting your remotejobfor.me account and requesting removal of data connected to Threads or Meta.
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by remotejobfor.me, including data that may have been received through an authorized Threads or Meta connection. It is an instructions page only; it does not ask you to enter a password, access token, or other secret.
1. Delete your remotejobfor.me account
If you can sign in, account deletion is the fastest way to remove your remotejobfor.me account and user-owned workspace data:
- Sign in to remotejobfor.me and open Account Settings.
- Open the Security tab.
- Find the Danger Zone section and choose Delete my account.
- Type DELETE, then submit the deletion request.
Account deletion is permanent. Signing out, uninstalling an app, or removing a connection does not by itself delete information already stored by remotejobfor.me.
2. Request deletion if you cannot sign in
Email support@mail.remotejobfor.me with the subject Data deletion request. To help us find the correct account, include the email address used for remotejobfor.me and, if applicable, your Threads username or app-scoped identifier.
We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing a request. Never include your password, access token, recovery code, or any other secret in an email.
3. Data covered by a deletion request
When an account is deleted, we remove the account and user-owned workspace records linked to it, including:
- Account and profile information.
- Saved jobs and job-application tracking records.
- Job-search preferences and notification preferences.
- Personal data received from a Threads or Meta connection that is stored by remotejobfor.me and within our control.
We may retain limited information when required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, billing, or accounting. Where retention is required, we restrict its use and remove or de-identify it when the applicable retention period ends. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
4. Disconnecting a Threads or Meta connection
You can also remove remotejobfor.me from your connected apps in your Meta account settings to stop future access. Disconnecting a connection is separate from deleting your remotejobfor.me account, so use the account-deletion steps above or email us to request removal of data already held by our service.
This process does not delete posts, profile information, or other content stored directly by Threads or Meta. Manage that content through the relevant Meta service.
5. What happens after you submit a request
We review requests for account ownership and process valid requests without undue delay, subject to verification and legally required retention. We confirm the outcome by email when a reply address is available. Copies in backups or security records may remain until their routine retention period expires.
